I am a dedicated and longtime member of the fitness and wellness industry, and my goal has remained constant: to help each person achieve his or her personal best at this moment in time.
In my 20+ years in the industry, I have mastered a variety of training methods and have worked with populations ranging from the fitness novice to collegiate athletes, cancer survivors, children, active older adults and conditioned pros. I’ve also worked in diverse settings, including as a corporate fitness professional and manager and as a group instructor at the local YMCA.
Each of my sessions, whether for a personal training client or a group boot camp, is specifically designed. I use a variety of training modalities and program designs to keep the body guessing what’s next. Functional fitness is extremely important in keeping the body centered for everyday living, so each of my workouts incorporates a strength, endurance, flexibility and balance component. No matter your age, fitness level, past workout experience or lack thereof, all are welcome… because, “It starts today!”
When I’m not working with clients, my time is spent in Bernardsville, NJ with my husband Bill and our beautiful twin girls, Maggie and Brielle. They, too, enjoy being physically active, and keep me busy with their after school activities. As a family, we like traveling, camping at amusement parks, going to the beach and dining out. We started the girls young – they had their first restaurant experience at just four months old and have loved this special time together ever since. Finding the right balance is key to living a healthy lifestyle.
I received my degree in Exercise Science and Sports Studies from Rutgers University. I went on to continue my education in this ever-changing industry, earning many nationally-ranked certifications. I am a Certified Exercise Physiologist from ACSM, Certified Personal Trainer from ACE, Certified Group Exercise Instructor and Weight Training Specialist from AFAA, Certified Spinning® Instructor from Mad Dogg Athletics and am AED, CPR and First Aid trained. I am also a certified LiveSTRONG at the YMCA Instructor, enabling me to work with cancer survivors through special programming.
